Pizza & Movie Night #3: The Unknown Saint (2019)

Olives, pepperoni, yellow bell peppers, mushrooms and burrata

I have perfected the crust situation. The rack needs to go at the very top of the oven and the pizza goes in WITHOUT the cheese for seven minutes, then you take it out, put the cheese on, and in it goes for another seven or more depending on how well done you like your crust.

We watched a Moroccan/French movie this Sunday called The Unknown Saint, by Alaa Eddine Aljem. We loved it.

The Unknown Saint (2019)

An absurdist fables with minimal dialogue, so much attention was shifted over to the stunning visuals, which translated easily to humor through focus on minute body language and sound. This gorgeous film allowed the sparsity of desert dwelling to fill up the screen so beautifully. Every shot was a photo I'd happily hang in my apartment.

Every character is a character, with some kind of funny little trait attached to each. Because they all come to live in the same tiny town, you know they will eventually come into contact with each other which made it hard to figure out what was going to happen next. In any case, we weren't disappointed. Recommend 👍

Our second pizza was artichoke hearts, yellow bell pepper, red onions, and mozz.
